Each year, come late October, we have costumes of many colors to ponder: What Dolly Parton look should we channel for All Hallows' Eve? Thankfully, we must have telepathically relayed that message to the Queen of Country, as she recently shared some classic Dolly-inspired Halloween looks on Instagram.

"In case y'all are still working up a Halloween costume, here's a few outfits I really love [that] you might use for inspiration. Trick or treat!" she writes, alongside four photos of herself throughout the decades.

In the first look, Parton sports a white smock with pink cowgirl fringe, bold pink earrings, and dramatic pink-and-purple eye shadow. In the fourth outfit, Parton accompanies a frilly pink-and-white lace dress with short, side-swept hair and more subdued makeup.

Personally, we think any Dolly-esque costume is perfection, but we're partial to the signature cowgirl outfit the Smoky Mountain Songbird rocks in the first photo.
