While hummus is traditionally made with chickpeas, Southern Living Test Kitchen professional and star of Hey Y'allIvy Odom uses boiled peanuts in this recipe to give it a true Southern touch. The food processor does most of the work for you in this quick and easy recipe that will be ready to serve in just 10 minutes. Making the dish ahead? Just store it in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve at your next tailgate or party. If the hummus is thicker than you would like, add a little bit of olive oil to the food processor and blend until it reaches a smoother consistency. If you're not familiar with tahini, one of the ingredients called for in this recipe, it's made from ground sesame seeds and can be found in most large supermarkets. Reserve the boiled peanuts shells for a garnish when you serve.
