Why didn't we think of this sooner?

Year-round, your freezer is a workhorse, storing everything from pestos and pecan pies to veggies and vanilla ice cream. But as we approach the holidays, things can get especially crowded in there. We all know a variation of opening the freezer door only to have an open bag of frozen peas fall in a dramatic green vortex to the kitchen floor.

No more! Instead, take the advice of The Home Edit founders Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, who recently shared their freezer organization hero with PureWow: "Magazine holders are great in a pull-out freezer to store frozen foods and whatnot," Shearer and Teplin told the outlet. (They also prove a wonderful organization tool in virtually any kind of fridge or freezer.)

When getting your freezer ready, you'll probably want to sort items by category (say, produce, sauces, nuts) and it's best to opt for clear magazine holders so you can easily see what each holds. Pick magazine holders up at your local office supplies store or buy an eight-pack from mDesign on Amazon for $59.99 here.
